Question 1

Is Atarashift really free for candidates?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Atarashift is completely free for job seekers. We charge companies for access to our talent database and for posting Direct Track positions, but candidates never pay anything to create profiles, get discovered, or receive scout messages.

Question 2

What is the "Direct Track" program?

Accepted Answer

Direct Track is our premium job listing program where companies work directly with Atarashift. These positions are verified, have transparent salary information, and typically offer faster hiring processes. Direct Track companies have been vetted for their commitment to international hiring.

Question 3

Do I need to speak Japanese?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Many positions in our database are English-friendly, meaning the primary working language is English. However, some Japanese ability can expand your opportunities. Each job listing clearly indicates language requirements.

Question 4

How does visa sponsorship work?

Accepted Answer

Companies marked with 'Visa Support' are willing to sponsor work visas for qualified candidates. The most common visa types are Engineer/Specialist in Humanities and Highly Skilled Professional visas. The company typically handles the application process once you receive a job offer.

Question 5

How long does it take to get scouted?

Accepted Answer

This varies based on your skills and experience. Some candidates receive scout messages within days of completing their profile, while others may take a few weeks. Having a complete profile with detailed skills and experience significantly increases your visibility.

Question 6

Can I apply to jobs directly or do I have to wait to be scouted?

Accepted Answer

You can do both! While our platform emphasizes the scout system where companies reach out to you, you can also browse job listings and express interest in positions. For Direct Track positions, you can apply directly through our platform.
