We are responsible for creating customer touchpoints in physical channels and driving business growth, with a core focus on the operation of Rakuten Mobile shops. Our stores are not merely places for signing up for services; they serve as the 'front line of customer engagement,' playing a vital role in supporting the brand experience by providing Rakuten Group services across telecommunications, finance, and e-commerce. The Shop Operation Section serves as the 'strategic hub' for store operations, handling everything from building the physical store network and supporting back-end call center functions to developing systems and device products that streamline in-store tasks. The Shop Development Group is responsible for planning and executing store opening strategies, which are the foundation of business growth, as well as managing lease agreements for existing locations. Beyond simple property selection, we drive the sustainable expansion of our store network by negotiating terms to maximize ROI (Return on investment), standardizing the entire store-opening process, and building a property management system that leverages technology.
Experience in formulating business strategies, sales strategies, store opening strategies, or operational improvement measures based on quantitative data (e.g., sales results, market data, customer data, market area data) in a corporate or consulting environment. Practical experience in data processing and analysis using SQL, BI tools (Tableau, DOMO, etc.), and Excel, with a track record of integrating multiple data sources to identify issues, provide insights, and report results. Experience in translating analysis results into improvement actions or decision-making proposals and presenting them to relevant departments and management. Experience in driving projects or initiatives while coordinating with multiple stakeholders, organizing requirements, managing progress, and clarifying key issues. Experience in creating reports, proposals, and dashboard explanatory materials for management or department heads using PowerPoint or similar tools. TOEIC score of 600 or higher.
Experience in store opening strategy formulation or market area analysis in the retail, food & beverage, or telecommunications industries. Experience leading business investment decisions or operational improvement projects as a strategy consultant or in corporate planning.
