The team is responsible for resolving technical issues related to IaaS products (such as virtual machines and storage) within Azure support. The Microsoft Customer Service & Support (CSS) division builds trust with all individuals and organizations by providing a consistent support experience. CSS helps customers and partners achieve more from their investment in Microsoft products by quickly resolving issues and preventing potential future problems. Technical Support Engineers understand and resolve customers' technical issues, enhancing their skills in problem-solving, collaboration, and research while accelerating their career growth.
4+ years of experience in IT-related roles such as technical support, system development, network administration, IT management, or IT consulting. Experience using cloud services like Azure, virtualization infrastructure, or equivalent technologies. Expertise in some of the following technologies: Windows or Linux administration and troubleshooting, Windows scripting, Powershell, or Linux Bash scripting, Kubernetes and other container technologies, Azure Directory, security, and internal OS functions and concepts, understanding of virtualization concepts and virtualization system management, building and managing virtualization infrastructure like Hyper-V or VMware, basic networking technologies such as web servers, HTTP protocols, and TCP/UDP, storage technologies (cloud and/or on-premises environments), understanding of RDP/SSH.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent. Experience building business systems using the following Azure services: Azure VM / VMSS, Azure Storage Service (Azure Files), Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Virtual Network.
