Our team helps Bosch’s Cross-Domain Computing business make informed strategic decisions. In this role, you will assess how changes in automotive markets, competition, technology, and regulation affect our business and provide actionable recommendations. For market intelligence, you will monitor the Japanese automotive market and the global activities of Japanese vehicle manufacturers, including customer strategies, competitors, technologies, business models, and end-user trends. You will analyze company reports, industry databases, market studies, news, trade fairs, and internal business data; independently plan and execute market-intelligence projects; analyze and visualize business data using tools such as Power BI; deliver market updates and strategic recommendations to regional and global management; and support scenario analysis and competitive simulations with regional sales and strategy teams. For public policy and regulatory intelligence, you will monitor automotive safety regulations and assessment programs, including Japan NCAP and other regional NCAP programs, assess and communicate their implications for product roadmaps and market opportunities, and build constructive relationships with relevant government agencies and industry bodies. As a business unit strategy partner, you will serve as the strategy partner for one Bosch mobility technology business area in Japan, supporting its strategy development and ensuring alignment with overall strategy. You will work with regional business leaders and product managers to bring East Asia market and business perspectives into global strategy discussions. This is a replacement hire. The role offers international exposure through direct work with regional and global decision-makers; broad strategic scope across market intelligence, competitor analysis, regulation, and business strategy; visible impact on strategic priorities, product roadmaps, and management decisions; ownership of projects from the initial question to management recommendations; and use of data visualization, automation, and AI tools. The role’s mission is to identify external developments that may affect Bosch’s mobility business, assess their implications, and ensure relevant insights are reflected in regional and global strategy. After joining, you will build a strong understanding of Bosch’s mobility business, customers, competitors, and strategic priorities; establish effective relationships with regional, global, and external stakeholders; deliver independent market and regulatory analysis that clearly explains business implications; and take ownership of recurring activities, improve the use of data and automation, and become a trusted strategy partner for the assigned business area. The team is a collaborative regional group of professionals representing five nationalities, with varied experience and industrial backgrounds, based in Japan, Thailand, and Korea. Domestic business trips are once or twice per month, and international trips are up to once per year. The team works flexibly; many members currently work remotely two to four days per week, with office presence based on business and stakeholder needs.
