This position contributes to innovation through beauty by utilizing cutting-edge technology as a representative of Shiseido's value creation. You will be responsible for the formulation development of a wide range of products, including facial cleansers, makeup removers, body care, perfumes, hand creams, and hair care, as well as applied research looking ahead 3 to 10 years. You will engage in a broad range of product development and themes while collaborating flexibly within the team, without being limited to specific areas. To achieve brand growth in the cleansing and body care category, you will proactively carry out research and development activities. You will be involved in the development of approximately 4 to 8 formulations per year, including renewals, new configurations, improvements due to changes in raw materials or regulations, and various research activities.
- Knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry, or biology at the master's level - Experience in product development for cleansing agents, cleansing, and skincare (3 years or more) - Flexibility to engage broadly in the development of diverse product categories, not limited to specific areas - Negotiation and coordination skills to communicate smoothly with business and marketing departments - IT skills (practical level) in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc. - IT literacy to actively utilize internal databases
