Welcome and greet guests, escort them to their tables, and coordinate table assignments. Provide personalized service based on guest preferences, needs, and special occasions. Recognize returning and VIP guests and communicate relevant information to management and team members. Handle telephone inquiries and manage restaurant reservations accurately and professionally. Manage reservations and table availability using the restaurant reservation system. Coordinate seating based on restaurant occupancy and service team capacity. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menus and daily specials and provide accurate information to guests. Assist with updating, preparing, printing, and maintaining menus. Prepare the hostess stand, tables, and other areas for restaurant operations. Assist guests with coat-check services and manage lost-and-found items appropriately. Process cash and credit card payments accurately. Communicate and collaborate effectively with chefs, service colleagues, and management. Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of operational and office supplies. Support restaurant projects, including menu updates, signage, and other operational initiatives. Provide support in other areas and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- High school education or equivalent education/experience. - 1–2 years of previous Food & Beverage or restaurant service experience is preferred. - Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both Japanese and English. - Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills. - Ability or willingness to learn and use restaurant reservation systems.
