Mott MacDonald is a large, global engineering firm, with an opportunity to join our team in Japan. We are looking for a Technical Director to work on exciting renewable energy projects, such as in offshore and onshore wind, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and solar projects. The services we provide to our clients are varied and includes design, owners engineering and technical advisory support. You will work on various renewable energy projects globally, focusing on Japan and Asia Pacific. Responsibilities include delivering our work, supporting the growth of the renewable energy business, and improving the technical performance of the regional team.
Degrees in engineering, preferably with a specialization in power systems, renewable energy, and/or sustainable energy technology, and/or Qualification of Professional Engineer. Over 10 years of relevant experience with a preference for experience in renewable energy projects, though experience in thermal and HVDC/HVAC transmission is also positive. Proficiency with relevant simulation tools. Experience on Wind, Solar and BESS projects. Project management skills and experience in an international, multicultural environment. Willingness to travel as required by projects and business opportunities. Work from the Office.
