This position is for a pre-sales technical engineer for Power Platform. You will primarily work with Power Apps, Copilot Studio, and M365 Copilot. Additionally, you are expected to leverage GitHub Copilot, Fabric, and Agent 365 to enhance these offerings and articulate their value. As a Power Platform Solution Engineer (Technical Specialist), you will help enterprise customers realize business value with Power Apps, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, complemented by GitHub Copilot, Fabric, and Agent 365. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, goals, and business challenges, and demonstrate how the Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot can accelerate their transformation. You will manage the functional and technical workload across the sales cycle through envisioning, designing, and demonstrating solutions mapped to business value, collaborating with the sales team, Microsoft partners, other Technical Specialists, and Customer Success.
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales for business application / SaaS, or technical consulting experience. - Solution pre-sales of complex business application deals requiring orchestration of large, dispersed, virtual teams composed of industry and solution team members. - Solution pre-sales best practices including but not limited to: discovery, building and crafting solution strategies that differentiate from the competition, value-based selling, and identifying and expanding product opportunities. - Ability to drive and influence stakeholders across organizational boundaries through organizational, presentation, envisioning, writing, and verbal communication skills. - Deep understanding of commercial cloud offerings, ideally Microsoft’s cloud platform, as well as competitive knowledge of other business applications and related ecosystems. - Customer-facing business process experience in one or more industries such as Financial Services, Manufacturing, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Retail & Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Public Sector, and Media & Communications. - Business value selling methodologies and practices that successfully convey value and business outcomes. - Excellent presentation and communication skills across various customer stakeholders (e.g., CIO, CFO, CMO, VP of Sales).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience; OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience; OR equivalent experience. - High level of self-awareness, reflection, and empathy.
