Rakuten Group provides more than 70 services in a wide range of fields, including e-commerce, travel, digital content, and other Internet services in Japan and overseas, as well as financial services such as credit cards, banking, securities, electronic money, and smartphone app payments, mobile services such as mobile carrier services, and professional sports. By organically linking these services through a membership system centered on Rakuten members, Rakuten has created a unique 'Rakuten ecosystem' that is unlike any other. As Rakuten Mobile expands its corporate business, there is an urgent need to establish a 'robust credit management system' that underpins the company’s sound growth from the ground up. Established in June 2024, the Debt Management Section is a strategic organization solely responsible for the proper management and protection of receivables in corporate transactions. Currently, we are accelerating 'early risk detection' and 'the institutionalization of a stable revenue base' by leveraging the mobile business’s vast data-from building efficient collection processes to minimizing the risk of uncollected receivables. We are seeking a leader to drive the 'next phase' of our receivables management organization as we tackle the challenging mission of maximizing revenue while maintaining strong relationships with our corporate clients.
・3+ years of professional experience in accounts receivable management, credit management, risk management, or business operations/management functions. ・Skills in structuring and documenting work: able to interview frontline teams, identify issues, and translate them into manuals and workflows that anyone can execute. ・Logical thinking and communication skills: able to articulate the need for rules and their risk-reduction impact based on objective evidence. ・Cross-functional coordination skills: experience aligning stakeholders across departments with differing interests and driving consensus as an organization.
・At least 2 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more people. ・Experience launching new businesses or standing up new operational/planning functions. ・Experience in understanding the practical aspects of legal proceedings (such as payment demands and litigation) and leading collaboration with external experts. ・Led the end-to-end rollout of new internal policies or operating rules, from explaining them to the field through adoption and stabilization. ・Basic knowledge of, or practical experience with, legal collection actions (e.g., payment demands, litigation).
