The Platform and Infrastructure Department is a specialized infrastructure team that supports Rakuten's Payment business. In our team, we play a key role as cloud engineers from the design stage of services, handling a wide range of tasks such as defining non-functional requirements, system design, construction, operation, reporting, and improvement. By managing diverse cloud environments such as Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud, we provide an environment where you can build a broad career and achieve significant professional development. Rakuten Payment business is rapidly expanding, with the introduction of new services and the enhancement of existing ones, leading to an increase in the scope of operations. To support this growth, there is a need to strengthen the management and operation of cloud environments. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer who can manage diverse cloud environments, including Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud. As a Cloud Engineer, you will manage multiple environments in Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest updates and security measures. While primarily focusing on IaaS, you will also handle some aspects of PaaS and SaaS. If you will join as team lead, you will lead the team through the entire process from initial design to operational management, maintaining effective communication throughout. - 3+ years experiences of design, construct, and operation of public cloud(Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP) - Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, specifically with Azure. - Strong background in managing IaaS environments. - Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and implementation. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently and take initiative. - Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Someone with a strong motivation for infrastructure work. - Experience as an on-premises server administrator. - Knowledge of PaaS and SaaS in an Azure environment. - Certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator - Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). - Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI). - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Terraform). - Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
