Rakuten Group provides more than 70 services in a wide range of fields, including e-commerce, travel, digital content, and other Internet services in Japan and overseas, as well as financial services such as credit cards, banking, securities, electronic money, and smartphone app payments, mobile services such as mobile carrier services, and professional sports. By organically linking these services through a membership system centered on Rakuten members, Rakuten has created a unique “Rakuten ecosystem” that is unlike any other. The team responsible for global mobility within the Group Human Resources Supervisory Department-the department for this job opening-will provide support and develop systems to ensure that the right talent is delivered in a timely manner to the regions where it is needed, in order to strongly drive the Rakuten Group’s global business. In addition to managing daily assignment projects and payroll processes, you will be expected to improve and innovate processes from the viewpoints of efficiency and effectiveness. To accelerate Rakuten Group’s global business, Global Mobility & Coordination Group in HR Operations Section supports timely staffing by building mechanisms and providing support to place the best people where they are needed. We are currently recruiting for a position within our Mobility team to address a shortage of staff handling tasks related to the payment of salaries and allowances for employees on overseas assignments. Since this role involves compensation-related tasks, we are seeking candidates who can prioritize legal compliance and accuracy from both Japanese and international perspectives, while also demonstrating the flexibility to adapt their approach as needed. The Global Mobility & Coordination Group, part of the HR Operations Section within the Employee Relations Department, consists of approximately five members. The team works in close coordination-especially with the relocation support members within the same group where information sharing is essential-and has a collaborative culture to move cases forward together. Note: You may also be asked to participate in and manage projects within the team, as well as cross-functional projects across the department (e.g., QCC activities or handling transfer cases).
