RakutenThe Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of Rakuten's ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships. Within TPD, the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten's state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units. The Cloud Platform Enablement Department (CPED) drives Rakuten Group's global infrastructure strategy by building and operating a robust private cloud platform and supporting public cloud environments. We empower application engineers to build reliable and scalable systems while ensuring unified support and consistent quality across all departments. We are planning to strengthen our structure and increase the number of senior engineers as leader candidates for system expansion. We are looking for colleagues to join us in building systems that are directly involved in the mobile business, which is a key focus for Rakuten. Infrastructure development, management, and operation tasks for systems used by Rakuten Mobile store staff and partner companies include continuous performance tuning and capacity planning, efficiency improvements through automation, system failure response, collaboration with stakeholders, and evaluation of new technologies and planning and execution for departmental implementation. We primarily use the on-premises internal cloud environment.
- Practical experience in Linux server design, construction, and operation (5 years or more) - Practical experience in project management or team leadership (3 years or more) - Practical experience in web system development or operation - Experience in creating and operating scripts (Bash/Python, etc.)
- Experience in designing, developing, and operating authentication/authorization systems (especially related to SSO) - Practical experience in designing, building, and operating Windows Server - Practical experience with Active Directory - Experience in operating container and application platforms - Curiosity and a challenging spirit towards new services and technologies
