The Group Corporate Planning team serves as the consolidated corporate planning team for the Mercari Group. It uses data to set the organization’s direction and builds consensus with executives and stakeholders, driving the Group’s growth through optimal resource allocation via budgets and mid-term plans, as well as by establishing a management accounting foundation. The team builds management decision-making and resource allocation processes and infrastructure that evolve alongside the Group’s growth and business diversification, and plans and drives mid- to long-term strategies, budget plans, and cross-functional projects. To enhance and streamline management accounting, the team is implementing an EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) system to improve the speed and accuracy of decision-making across the Group. You will drive the EPM system implementation project, including planning, managing progress, issues, risks, and scope, facilitating meetings, and reporting to executives and relevant departments. You will organize business requirements related to budgeting and budget-versus-actual management, design operations, and drive system implementation and testing (UAT). You will coordinate with related departments such as IT, HR, and Finance Operations, as well as vendors, to prepare data, launch the system in production and ensure stable operations, and roll it out to Group companies and establish its use. You will also coordinate with company-wide projects related to corporate management; organize and redesign the Group-wide processes for budgeting, budget-versus-actual management, and mid-term planning around system-based operations; prepare KPIs and financial figures for management decision-making; plan and drive cross-Group projects, including international initiatives; and establish management accounting rules and infrastructure. This is a challenging system implementation project that involves replacing existing operations while simultaneously reviewing business processes. You will work on organizing business requirements and implementing the system in parallel, respond to changing requirements and shifting priorities, and engage stakeholders to deliver the launch on schedule and ensure stable operations. You will be deeply involved in both management accounting operations and systems, building a foundation that supports corporate management across the Group.
