This position is responsible for the overall management of large and complex projects that support corporate-level transformations for client companies. The support provided by Accenture includes IT outsourcing, BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), cloud shifts, and global integration of core systems, as well as an increasing number of large projects in recent years that encompass digital transformation and the formation of sustainable businesses, including ecosystem development. These transformations often require a fundamental change in the client's organization and business as a whole, with multiple solutions intricately interlinked. The related organizations and service groups within Accenture are diverse, and the timeline from team formation to contract signing can be lengthy. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly important for the Bid Manager, who is positioned very close to the "promotion and execution of projects" beyond the scope of sales and proposal activities, to take on the overall management of each project. The primary role of the Bid Manager is bid management. During the sales phase, communication with many internal and external teams and stakeholders occurs, from confirming the direction of solutions and proposals to building solutions, implementing pricing, and formulating commercial terms, all the way to closing a single project. How effectively collaboration can be achieved with various parties and how the deal team can function is key to the success of the deal. The role of bid management involves supporting project promotion while understanding the schedules, members, tasks, internal finance, and team communication, as well as the expectations of each team and stakeholder, essentially acting as the PMO lead during the sales phase. In large projects, the necessary approval processes and steps, both internally and externally, are complex, and ensuring that these are executed steadily with great care and preparation is also one of the important tasks of the Bid Manager. The career of a Bid Manager can be flexibly adjusted according to personal aspirations and life stages. It is possible to pursue a career as a professional in bid management focused on operational excellence in sales, or if one wishes to actively engage in formulating sales strategies and negotiating with clients, it is also possible to transition to a sales capture role after understanding the sales mechanisms as a Bid Manager.
- Experience in consulting or project management - Ability to respond flexibly and adaptively to the ever-changing project circumstances - High insight to understand stakeholder expectations and strong communication skills - Proficiency in Japanese (native level) - Proficiency in English (business level or higher, capable of creating presentation materials and communicating with internal stakeholders, including global ones)
