Bosch Home Comfort Co., Ltd. is seeking a leader to drive the transformation of its Japan business and support the further growth of Hitachi room air conditioners “Shirokuma-kun,” which hold one of the leading market shares in Japan. We are currently shifting from a business model centered on traditional sales channels to a direct sales and direct service model that brings us closer to customers. To make this transition, we have launched a major transformation program that will simultaneously bring sales operations in-house, establish new business processes and organizational structures, and implement global SAP. As the business lead for this overall transformation, you will design and build the future operating model for our Japan business, working across numerous functions, including Sales, Service, Customer Support, Logistics, Finance, and IT. Key responsibilities include designing the future sales and service operating model for the Japanese market; transforming business processes across Sales, Service, Logistics, and Customer Support; defining Japanese requirements for the global SAP implementation and coordinating with headquarters; leading business requirements definition, process design, and governance development; driving cross-functional decision-making across Sales, SCM, Logistics, Finance, and IT; advancing operational capabilities through AI, digitalization, and automation; driving business transfers, process standardization, and organizational setup; leading change management and stakeholder management; and overseeing business readiness, cutover, and launch support. This is not simply a role responsible for implementing SAP. Rather than improving existing operations, you will design and realize the future operating model for the Japan business from the ground up. Working in partnership with the Transformation & IT Lead, you will also bring global standards together with the requirements of the Japanese market and build a new foundation for growth in Japan. This is a rare opportunity to transform the business, organization, processes, and systems simultaneously. It is also a highly challenging, high-impact position for someone who may eventually take on a leadership role in the Japan business.
- Leadership experience in at least one of the following areas at a business company: sales operations, SCM, service, or customer operations - Experience leading a company-wide cross-functional project or business transformation project - Experience driving decision-making while engaging stakeholders with differing interests across multiple departments - Understanding of sales and service operations in the Japanese market
- Experience implementing SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA - Knowledge of the Order-to-Cash process - Experience with business transfers, establishing shared service centers (SSCs), BPO transfers, carve-outs, or post-merger integration (PMI) - Experience in the home appliances, air conditioning, residential equipment, or durable consumer goods industries - Experience working on global projects - Business communication skills in English
