We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Senior Visual Merchandising & Store Design Operation Manager (Grade 10–11) to lead the global store design and visual merchandising operations for our premier skincare franchises: ULTIMUNE, Vital Perfection, and Future Solution. Based at our global headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, you will act as the pivotal between creative vision and market execution. Operating in a bilingual environment (Japanese and English), you will collaborate closely with internal creative teams, external suppliers, and regional stakeholders across SAPAC and SAC to ensure all visual assets, technical drawings, and merchandising guidelines are executed to the highest standards, on time, and aligned with global brand equity. Key Responsibilities include partnering directly with the global creative team to foster proactive solutions for the preparation and fine-tuning of mock-ups for each campaign's guidelines assets, organizing and overseeing the translation of creative assets into physical mock-ups, ensuring the precision and quality of all technical drawings prior to production, and developing comprehensive Visual Merchandising guidelines tailored to the specific commercial needs of individual markets. You will also oversee the design development timeline, ensuring that all milestones align with the master schedule for timely delivery to markets, foster alignments with stakeholders to ensure the timeline of each campaign's offline assets preparation, and serve as the primary Store Design and VM point of contact for regular alignment meetings with regional teams and Regional Headquarters, managing and supporting the specific Store Design rollout needs for SAPAC and SAC.
- Experience: Minimum 6 to 8+ years of progressive experience in luxury retail, store design, and visual merchandising, specifically within the prestige skincare or beauty sector. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field. - Communication & Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal) is required to operate seamlessly in our Tokyo-based working environment and communicate with HQ, suppliers, and global regional markets. Exceptional cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills. - Technical & Software Proficiency: Strong command of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as the primary tool for project tracking, reporting, and presentations. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or equivalent) is considered a strong plus and is very welcome. - Project & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects across multiple global regions (specifically Asia Pacific and the Americas).
