Department Overview Supporting Governance and Sustainable Growth Across the Commerce & Marketing Company (C&M) Operation Management Department serves as a key business partner to the Commerce & Marketing Company (C&M), which includes major Rakuten businesses such as Rakuten Ichiba and Rakuten Travel. Our mission is to support sustainable growth and enhance corporate value by strengthening governance, risk management, compliance, legal affairs, and other critical control functions across the organization. Within this framework, the Governance & Control Section plays an important role in helping the business identify, mitigate, and prevent operational and compliance risks. Through proactive monitoring, audits, investigations, and preventive initiatives, we help ensure that C&M businesses operate safely, responsibly, and effectively.
