Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes according to established recipes and standards. Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, seafood, sauces, and seasonings. Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food production. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and rotation procedures are followed. Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation standards. Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Head Chef.
- Culinary school training or relevant certification is an advantage. - Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation. - Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required. - Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
