As a resident engineer, you will be integrated directly into the site of our Japanese OEM partners as a member of the customer support team. You will play a crucial role in successfully integrating Bosch's cutting-edge automotive technology from the initial product specifications, through rigorous bench and vehicle testing, to the start of production (SOP). In this extremely important position, you will visit the field as a key ambassador for Bosch, serving as a vital link between our advanced engineering team and the OEM. You will provide essential first-level technical support to proactively address customer needs and challenges. Additionally, by leveraging our extensive global and local engineering networks, you will coordinate comprehensive second-level support to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal product performance in the OEM's next-generation vehicles.
- Engineering background: An engineering background with foundational knowledge in at least one of software or hardware development. - Bilingual ability: Proficient in both native Japanese and English (TOEIC score of 700 or higher) for verbal and written communication. - Customer engagement skills: Possess negotiation and interpersonal skills essential for effective customer engagement and relationship building. - Flexibility and mobility: Ability to work at customer sites and be flexible in responding to travel requirements based on project demands.
- Work experience in the automotive industry - Tool operation skills: Proficient in automotive diagnostic and evaluation tools (e.g., CANoe) and project management platforms (e.g., JIRA). - Expertise in E/E systems: Basic experience in the development or testing of electrical/electronic (E/E) systems, with practical understanding of automotive architecture. - Mobility: Possession of a valid driver's license.
