We are creating new standards in the industry through the development and provision of research products incorporating AI. The Integrated Solutions Group Field Team plans and manages offline surveys, primarily CLT (Central Location Test) and HUT (Home Use Test). We capture the real-life experience value of consumers that cannot be captured through online surveys, supporting research projects in a variety of industries, including food, daily necessities, and cosmetics. In recent years, demand for offline surveys, primarily CLT and HUT, has increased again. With the increase in projects, there is an urgent need for project management personnel who can oversee the entire survey process, manage progress, quality, and costs. You will have the opportunity to take on the challenge of managing the progress, quality, and costs of offline surveys (CLT/HUT), which are experiencing a resurgence in demand, and drive business growth as a PM. With a solid understanding of the field, you will be able to proactively drive projects, taking on a wide range of roles from progress, quality, and cost management to business improvement. Using your project management skills as a core skill, you can also transition into a future career as a team manager, offline research supervisor, research design, or sales promotion. You will be responsible for project management, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, including sales, researchers, field survey staff, and external partners, to smoothly advance fieldwork research projects, primarily CLT and HUT. With an understanding of field operations, you will lead the entire project while maintaining a bird's-eye view of progress, quality, and costs. Major Duties include scheduling and progress management for fieldwork research projects, primarily CLT/HUT, organizing and coordinating requirements with sales, researchers, and clients, directing survey staff, following up on progress, and addressing issues and problems, quality assurance, cost/profit management, billing/order-related tasks, improving workflow and promoting standardization of fieldwork operations, and English support for some projects within the Rakuten Group and for overseas clients. Specific Project Examples include CLT/HUT survey projects for food, daily necessities, and cosmetics manufacturers, and product and service support for Rakuten Group services and overseas manufacturers Fieldwork research project for service evaluation. The organization consists of approximately 200 employees in Rakuten Insight, Inc. and 9 employees in the Integrated Solutions Group. The team is comprised of members with research experience at research companies and project management experience, as well as experience working with multiple stakeholders in sales, production, and event management. After joining the company, you will be responsible for project management while deepening your understanding of fieldwork research. After joining, you will play a central role in project progress management and quality and cost control. There are also cases where you will expand your role to team leadership, management positions, or related areas such as survey design and sales promotion.
- Practical experience as a project manager or project manager in fields such as research, advertising, events, production, and marketing support (approximately 2 years or more) - Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously - Experience coordinating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders (sales, production, external partners, etc.) - Practical experience managing schedules and costs using Excel or Google Spreadsheets - Ability to balance quality, progress, and revenue with a focus on numbers and costs - Comfortable communicating in English for work purposes
- Experience working at a research company, research-related company, or related to fieldwork (CLT/HUT, in-store surveys, etc.) - Practical experience conducting offline surveys such as CLT/HUT, on-site surveys, and home use tests - Experience directly negotiating and coordinating with clients - Experience working with sales and planning departments to advance projects - Experience managing and developing team members as a team leader or supervisor - Experience working on workflow improvement, standardization, and efficiency - Experience involved in survey design and reporting - Practical experience responding to emails and meetings in English
