DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an Trade Compliance Analyst, Japan. This role provides operational import controls support to the global Supply Chain organization, ensuring that international trade activities comply with applicable export control and trade compliance regulations. The Import Controls Analyst plays a critical role in enabling compliant global product movement, supporting business continuity, and mitigating regulatory risk while partnering closely with supply chain, logistics, and regional compliance stakeholders. This is an opportunity to work in a global, highly regulated environment where accuracy, collaboration, and judgment directly support patient access to medical technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Law, or related field preferred). - 3–5 years of relevant experience in import controls, trade compliance, supply chain operations, or a related compliance function. - Working knowledge of import control regulations and international trade compliance concepts. - Experience supporting operational processes in a regulated, global environment. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and international stakeholders. - Proficiency with standard business systems and data analysis tools (e.g., ERP systems, spreadsheets).
- Experience supporting import controls within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries. - Prior experience working in a global or regional shared services model. - Exposure to audits, internal controls, or compliance investigations. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately. - Certifications: Trade compliance or export control certifications preferred.
