As the Senior Site Services Manager (SSSM), you serve as the Country Lead for the Client account in Japan, providing strategic direction and operational oversight. This role centers on three core pillars: leading country wide operations, enforcing robust risk governance, and maintaining strong client partnerships. You will be responsible for financial stewardship, ensuring absolute safety and compliance, and driving service excellence through cross-functional alignment. Duties and responsibilities include driving strategic direction as Japan's Local Country Lead, acting as the key representative in client steering committees and regional governance forums, supervising the Japan Technical Services Manager, maintaining full accountability for all sites engineering and technical operations, providing operational oversight for remote offices in Tokyo and Osaka, formulating long-term workplace policies, tracking and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service levels, building and sustaining a high-performing, inclusive team culture, standardizing and implementing permit-to-work systems, assessing risks for active initiatives, coordinating with regional units and local partners, leading site-wide responses during critical incidents, cultivating robust client relationships, controlling local account budgeting, instructing personnel on EHS guidelines, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives, and championing workplace sustainability initiatives.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in people operations, ideally in Facilities Management (FM). - Proven track record as a site manager or in a similar leadership capacity. - Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies, specifically related to capital works and facility optimization. - Demonstrated experience handling complex client matters, balancing the interests of the client with those of the firm. - Experience translating strategic needs into deliverable programs. - Proven track record in financial stewardship, including budget forecasting, rigorous variance analysis, and the implementation of cost-optimization strategies. - Demonstrated experience managing performance frameworks, including the development of KPI dashboards, service-level reporting, and leveraging data to drive continuous service improvement. - Experience in vendor management, contract oversight, and strategic sourcing.
