This role serves as a senior individual contributor driving launch and marketing excellence across all three business units in Japan. The role independently leads high-priority, cross-functional initiatives, translates enterprise priorities into practical plans, and delivers measurable outcomes through influence rather than formal authority. For Launch Excellence, the role rigorously assesses launch readiness, identifies risks and opportunities, and mobilizes cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and strengthen execution. For Marketing Excellence, the role evaluates organizational and individual capability needs and designs or delivers targeted solutions that strengthen marketers' strategic and executional capabilities. The role also contributes Japan perspectives to Asia Pacific Launch and Marketing Excellence forums, leverages regional resources and best practices, and helps translate relevant regional priorities into local impact. The role has two core areas of responsibility: Launch Excellence and Marketing Excellence. Across both areas, the Senior Manager is expected to independently lead complex initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable business and organizational outcomes. For Launch Excellence, the role facilitates cross-functional discussions and collaboration throughout launch preparation; assesses launch status using agreed dashboards, milestones, and KPIs, ensuring that risks, gaps, and decisions are clearly surfaced; partners with cross-functional teams to define solutions, clarify ownership, and drive timely resolution of emerging issues; and provides independent, strategic recommendations to brand and business leaders to strengthen launch readiness and execution. The role captures and synthesizes lessons from launches and priority initiatives, translates insights into practical frameworks, tools, and recommendations that can be applied across brands and business units, and creates forums and mechanisms that enable consistent sharing and adoption of relevant launch best practices. For Marketing Excellence, the role independently leads enterprise priorities that strengthen organizational and individual marketing capabilities; diagnoses capability gaps using stakeholder input, business needs, and available data, then designs fit-for-purpose interventions; manages complex workstreams end to end, including strategy, stakeholder alignment, planning, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement; and partners with business-unit leaders, Marketing Directors, cross-functional partners, and regional colleagues to ensure relevance, adoption, and measurable impact. Across both areas, the role proactively identifies unmet needs, emerging risks, and opportunities; develops clear recommendations, challenges assumptions constructively, and converts ambiguity into structured action plans; makes sound decisions within the scope of responsibility, escalates appropriately, and maintains momentum with limited supervision; and demonstrates ownership for outcomes, not only activities, communicating progress, trade-offs, and impact clearly to senior stakeholders.
