As our large-scale energy business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Project Manager to deliver numerous projects in Japan. The Project Manager will have ultimate responsibility for completing the safe and compliant design, construction, and commissioning of assigned large-scale energy storage projects within time, quality, and cost constraints, and for ensuring a high-quality handover to the Tesla Service team. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience managing energy infrastructure projects, takes initiative, remains calm while solving problems, and can stay on top of every detail of each project. We welcome candidates who can bring high energy and an optimistic attitude to dynamic teams and business environments and lead projects through to completion. You will understand and manage project scope and schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned. You will collaborate and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire process, from design and construction through commissioning and completion. During the design, construction, and testing phases, you will understand and appropriately manage grid interconnection agreements with utilities. You will identify gaps in scope and responsibilities to ensure project success. This requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, and permitting concepts and requirements. As needed, you will work with the business operations team and provide the information required to ensure compliance with internal objectives and agreements. You will guide Tesla employees and contractors to perform work safely, to a high standard, and efficiently, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will strictly adhere to contract terms and ensure compliance with Tesla requirements and upstream contracts. You will prepare regular reports on project progress and risks.
