The TUKYSA Marketing Team Lead is responsible for developing and executing the TUKYSA franchise strategy in Japan to maximize value for patients and deliver revenue and profitability objectives. This role has business and P&L accountability for TUKYSA, covering both the existing business and planned indication expansions. The role leads brand and launch planning, financial forecasting, performance management, and the effective prioritization of financial and human resources. The position provides functional leadership to TUKYSA Marketing colleagues and leads the cross-functional TUKYSA team. It has no direct people-management responsibility but is expected to set strategic direction, align resources, coach colleagues, and foster a high-performing and collaborative team. The role also serves as a key interface with Japan Oncology leadership, the International Commercial Organization, and Global TUKYSA teams. The role delivers agreed revenue, profitability, and business performance objectives for TUKYSA; leads financial planning and forecasting, monitors financial and non-financial KPIs, addresses performance gaps, manages the promotional budget, and partners with Finance, Analytics, Supply, and other functions to manage business risks and opportunities. It develops and executes the long-term TUKYSA franchise strategy, annual Brand Plan, and Plan of Action for Japan; defines strategic priorities, growth opportunities, sources of business, and investment choices across indications; translates scientific evidence, market dynamics, and customer and patient insights into a differentiated value proposition and actionable commercial strategy; optimizes positioning, segmentation, targeting, customer engagement, promotional strategy, and channel mix; and adapts Global and International strategies to the Japanese market. The role leads sustainable growth and ongoing performance of the existing TUKYSA business, as well as commercial strategy, readiness, and execution for planned indication expansions. It leads commercial input into opportunity assessments, forecasts, investment decisions, and scenario planning; establishes milestones, governance, KPIs, risk assessments, and mitigation plans; and monitors market dynamics, competitive developments, treatment patterns, customer insights, field feedback, and launch performance to adjust plans as needed. It leads the TUKYSA cross-functional team and aligns stakeholders around a common strategy, priorities, milestones, and measures of success. It partners with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Analytics, Finance, Supply, Legal, Compliance, Sales teams, and other relevant functions; clarifies roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and escalation pathways; provides strategic direction, coaching, and development support to colleagues and project members; and represents the TUKYSA business in relevant Japan, International Commercial, and Global forums. The role ensures high-quality and timely execution of Brand Plans, launch plans, promotional materials, training programs, congress activities, and customer-facing initiatives; establishes effective governance and performance-review processes; partners with Supply and relevant functions to anticipate demand and address potential supply or business-continuity risks; and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, Pfizer policies, and internal review and approval processes. It demonstrates high standards of integrity, sound judgment, and patient focus in all business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. - A minimum of five years of pharmaceutical marketing experience. - Demonstrated experience in brand strategy, Brand Planning, financial forecasting, performance management, and promotional-budget management. - Experience leading complex cross-functional projects or initiatives in a matrix organization. - Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align multiple functions without formal authority. - Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both Japanese and English. - High standards of integrity, compliance, collaboration, and patient focus.
- Experience in oncology, breast cancer, specialty care, or another complex therapeutic area. - Experience leading a new product launch or indication expansion. - Experience managing an established business while preparing for a future launch. - Experience working with International Commercial, regional, or Global teams. - Experience providing functional leadership, coaching, or development support to colleagues.
