The Professional Services Organization Technical Program Management Office (PMO) helps organization's optimize data center design and accelerate time-to-value in their AI transformation, ensuring seamless integration with ROI-driven deployments. Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Sr. Technology/Infrastructure Program Manager on our Consulting team in Tokyo, Japan. Lead the delivery of cutting-edge, large-scale GenAI infrastructure programs directly enabling customers' AI strategies. Work with the Project Management Office, Account team, customer resources, delivery partner resources, and executive stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive implementation plans. Hold overall delivery ownership and accountability across all teams, resources, and partners involved in delivering complex Gen AI infrastructure deployments. Provide strategic and advisory consultation to customers, drive business outcomes and shape the future of AI infrastructure at scale. Responsibilities include engaging before deal closure and order placement to understand customer stakeholders, internal order status, and potential issues before project kickoff; owning delivery across rack-build and test, logistics, deployment, test, and handover; managing Dell Technologies’ delivery partners; leading executive-level stakeholder communications and relationship management internally and with the customer; maintaining strong program governance with pragmatism and agility; maintaining regular on-site presence in the datacenter; overseeing installation and client acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, or system integration projects and engagements; providing strategic and advisory consultation to drive customer business outcomes; ensuring quality service and operational performance across project deliverables; aligning customers and cross-functional teams to achieve the end-state solution and advising on risks and opportunities; managing program costs and investments for technology and resources; and managing, reporting, and mitigating dependencies and impacts through a consistent program approach and communications.
- 12–15 years of experience managing large, complex technology projects involving program-level hardware infrastructure implementations in customer data centers. - Extensive experience managing large-scale hardware and infrastructure deployments/programs. - Demonstrated previous experience delivering large-scale, high-value IT infrastructure deployments. - Ability to understand and articulate the key components of HPC and GenAI infrastructure deployments. - Hands-on experience in the data center, whether in a current role or in an appropriately recent timeframe. - Strong program management experience, including planning, senior management interfacing, influencing, and negotiating with customers and various project stakeholders. - Experience managing subcontracted parties such as cabling and liquid cooling suppliers and others. - Japanese – Native/Professional level in Speaking, Writing & Reading (JLPT 1). - English – Upper Business level in Speaking, Writing & Reading.
- Experience deploying, or managing deployment of, large-scale structured cabling in data centers. - Experience, or at least understanding, of direct liquid cooling solutions in data centers. - Previous experience or exposure to NVIDIA GPU products. - PMI certification and experience applying Six Sigma methodology. - Advanced knowledge of business/technology transformation programs.
