With a medium- to long-term perspective, you will select suppliers to achieve optimal procurement based on material category strategies agreed upon with stakeholders. In making selections, you will consider transparency, fairness, and flexibility, and work with suppliers to establish a supply system that can respond to market fluctuations. By ensuring the reliable procurement of materials needed for production, you will contribute to the business. You will participate from the early stages of new cosmetics product development and manage supplier selection, pricing and purchasing terms, contract execution, cost reduction, and supplier management to ensure stable supply for packaging materials, finished products, and promotional items. Working with a wide range of stakeholders—including business divisions, factories, R&D, and suppliers—you will assess technology, cost, quality, delivery, ESG, and supply risks holistically, helping turn product concepts into feasible plans. You will have authority over the total material cost of new products and optimize material costs to achieve brand COG ratio targets. You will develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives for new products to meet those targets, serve as the point of contact for material procurement in new product development, and manage schedules, including chairing tooling review meetings. Through communication with stakeholders across business divisions, GIC, advertising, factories, and suppliers, you will develop and propose improvements to reduce COG and contribute to achieving business and company-wide goals. You will understand the requirements of business divisions and the needs of the company, select suppliers for packaging materials, finished-product procurement, and promotional items, and determine prices and purchasing terms. You will balance quality, cost, delivery, ESG, sustainability, and innovation, coordinating with senior colleagues to establish optimal purchasing terms. You will determine suppliers, transaction prices, and terms for new product and promotional-item materials, and execute individual contracts. As a mid-level supply chain professional, you will meet the objectives of your assigned responsibilities by applying precedents and experience to resolve not only routine matters but also irregular or unforeseen situations.
- At least five years of procurement experience, with knowledge of relevant factors and regulations, including market conditions, foreign exchange, cost structures, raw-material supply chains, overall industry conditions, inventory management, commercial law, the Act on Ensuring Proper Transactions Involving Specified Entrusted Business Operators, and regulatory trends. - Ability to independently envision the desired future state, discuss it with the team, and identify gaps with the current state as issues to address. - Ability to consider solutions from multiple perspectives with stakeholders, including suppliers and internal departments, and put those solutions into action. - A positive person who proactively seeks out work and enjoys it.
- Experience successfully completing projects in collaboration with domestic and international, internal and external stakeholders. - Business skills, including English proficiency, logical thinking, and the ability to drive projects.
- In addition to knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing, you can develop broad expertise across the supply chain, including procurement strategy, supplier and market analysis, cost analysis, contracts, negotiation, and project management. - This rewarding position lets you see materials and products that you selected and negotiated become finished products and reach customers around the world. - You will work in an environment where colleagues with diverse backgrounds, including factory and sales experience, inspire one another and share a strong motivation to procure at the best prices and drive innovation through procurement.
