The Joint Reconstruction Division within the Orthopedics Business Unit is seeking sales professionals. Our business operates in the largest market in the orthopedic field, offering total knee and total hip replacement products and historically maintaining a top-tier position. With globally recognized brands and a focus on investment, we aim to increase market share by implementing medium- to long-term strategies that address the needs of Japanese physicians. You will sell implants used for internal fixation to treat orthopedic conditions. You will provide information to promote the safe and appropriate use of our products and work with healthcare professionals to create an environment that enables high-quality surgery. You will identify healthcare professionals’ needs and create value by proposing products. You will be responsible for a territory and hospitals, managing your area while maximizing sales of our products. You will become an expert in the medical devices you sell and build trusted relationships with physicians, who are experts in diseases and treatments, as their partner, ultimately driving sales. Your responsibilities will include introducing products to physicians, providing information, coordinating surgeries, and attending surgeries to ensure the appropriate use of products. During surgeries, you will guide nurses in assembling instruments and support physicians by advising them on the correct use of the instruments. The start date is February 2027. Your initial territory is expected to be one of the following: Tohoku, the Tokyo metropolitan area, Chubu (Nagano), Tokai (Aichi, Mie, and Gifu), Kansai (the two prefectures and four counties), or Chugoku and Shikoku (including Hiroshima). A valid standard driver’s license is required. For roles that require driving as part of the job, holding a driver’s license is a condition of employment. Please inform us in advance if you may be unable to obtain or renew your license due to certain medical conditions under the Road Traffic Act. Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate its Orthopedics business and establish it as an independent company, DePuy Synthes. Subject to the satisfaction of the necessary conditions, the separation is expected to be completed within 18 to 24 months. As a result, after the separation is completed, the person in this position will be employed by DePuy Synthes and will be subject to DePuy Synthes’ employment framework, programs, policies, and benefits. Further details are expected to be communicated by DePuy Synthes at the appropriate time. Before applying, please read the internal job posting guidelines on AskGS. If you have been in your current position for less than 18 months, obtain approval from your manager and your BU HR representative before applying. You may not apply for multiple positions at the same time. Regardless of your length of service, if you advance to the first interview following the resume screening, inform your manager that you have applied for an internal position and are proceeding with the selection process. If you make an internal referral, you will be deemed to have understood the details in “Overview of the Internal Referral Program” on Career Hub and to have made the referral in compliance with applicable requirements.
