You will be responsible for sales and business development of joining and fastening solutions for Japanese automotive manufacturers, focusing on resistance welding technology for body-in-white manufacturing processes and fastening technology for assembly processes. This role involves understanding the current and future challenges faced by customers’ production engineering and manufacturing engineering departments, and driving the process end to end, from developing new opportunities and proposing solutions to securing orders and introducing products to the Japanese market. You will also identify customers’ manufacturing challenges and future needs to create new applications and business opportunities, and propose customer value in terms of productivity, quality, flexibility, traceability, and total cost of ownership. You will propose our solutions based on their differentiation from competing products and existing technologies; identify opportunities for new products, applications, and solutions in the Japanese market; develop partnerships with system integrators, equipment manufacturers, and other companies that supply products and equipment to automotive manufacturers; and work with partners on joint proposals and the creation of customer opportunities and implementation case studies. In addition, as the point of contact connecting Japanese customer needs with global product business units, you will identify technical and product requirements specific to the Japanese market and drive the adaptation of products and solutions for that market. You will share market trends and customer feedback with global teams and incorporate them into product and technology strategies.
