As a member of the Commercial Excellence team, this position serves as a strategic partner supporting each business unit in achieving its business objectives. The role supports the development of systems and initiatives that enable effective sales activities, and provides mechanisms to ensure these systems and initiatives are used to generate sales results. For system development, the role provides tools that support the activities sales representatives are expected to perform. For incentive mechanisms, it provides incentive programs for sales teams and distributors. In addition to supporting the design and operation of these programs, the role also supports business-unit initiatives—from planning through execution—including introducing new tracking metrics, transferring systems, and bridging global initiatives. After understanding each business unit’s strategy and challenges, the role becomes involved as needed even before planning begins, helping to organize issues and clarify objectives. Through organizing information, analysis, and coordination with stakeholders, it provides practical business support to ensure programs and initiatives are appropriately designed and advanced. Key responsibilities include analyzing sales activities and results, designing KPIs, and supporting decision-making. The role supports efforts to improve the effectiveness of sales activities and evaluates and verifies their impact. It documents effective practices as Sales Standard Work and manages their implementation alongside KPI setting. Based on tracking results, it identifies insights and directions for improvement and supports decision-making by business units and stakeholders. The role supports the design, execution, and performance management of incentive programs for internal sales organizations and distributors. It understands business-unit strategies, organizes challenges and key issues, and facilitates discussions. The role supports the advancement of initiatives across business units. It clarifies each initiative’s objectives, scope, and success metrics, engages relevant departments and stakeholders to build consensus, and supports and manages execution from a project management perspective. We are looking for someone who can draw on their experience and expertise while objectively accepting feedback from others and outcomes that did not proceed as expected, and use them to improve their own judgment and approach. The successful candidate is expected to understand the positions and perspectives of stakeholders with different responsibilities and roles, engage in constructive dialogue, and work flexibly amid changing circumstances and multiple concurrent priorities. They should also be able to organize options and determine practical courses of action to move things forward, even when there is no clear-cut answer or constraints are present, and choose an appropriate communication style based on the nature of the work or discussion and their relationship with the person they are speaking with.
