Perform the following three areas of work—vendor management, quality management, and cost management—by carrying out continuous improvement activities and working to ensure stable operations. Communicate smoothly with outsourced service providers to carry out improvement activities and projects. For outsourced service provider management (vendor management), understand warehouse and delivery operations for medical devices; track KPIs accurately and in a timely manner together with service providers; identify and organize issues; and work toward resolving them. Understand the productivity and cost structures of warehouse and delivery processes, and use methods such as Lean to improve productivity, implement improvements, and reduce costs. Take preventive measures and corrective actions to meet damage and error-rate targets, and work collaboratively with service provider managers on activities such as Good Saves and 5S. Respond flexibly and proactively to exceptional cases in accordance with business needs. Acquire the knowledge required for work concerning EHS, SOx, and relevant laws and regulations; understand their impact on operations; and encourage service provider leaders to understand them and ensure they are communicated throughout their teams. For quality management, understand quality control processes based on internal policies and procedures, support service providers in establishing procedures, and serve as the point of contact for training. Understand and respond to various changes, including changes from overseas and manufacturers and revisions originating in Japan, as well as higher-level documents; assess the impact of changes and make corresponding updates to related procedures and manuals. For business management (responding to business requirements and projects), coordinate and negotiate with relevant departments to smoothly advance business improvement projects with service providers, including cost-reduction initiatives. Participate in supplier selection and contracting, and in the management of service providers and suppliers; work with Procurement to carry out contract renewals and execute memoranda of understanding and similar agreements. Monitor purchase order balances and ensure compliance with established standards. Identify priority issues in warehouse and delivery operations, determine the necessary corrective actions, and respond appropriately. Participate in the internal change management process for operational changes, and lead coordination and information sharing within the team and with members of other distribution centers.
