This position plays an important role in improving the quality of urinary care and addressing challenges in healthcare settings by promoting the adoption of PureWick™ external catheters, noninvasive urinary care products for women and men, at healthcare institutions—primarily acute-care hospitals—and through distributors. Urinary management has traditionally relied on options such as indwelling urinary catheters, diapers, pads, and male condom catheters, all of which have played an important role in supporting healthcare settings. At the same time, there is a growing need for gentler, safer, and more patient-centered urinary care that takes into account patient dignity and comfort, skin condition, infection risk, and the workload of nursing and caregiving staff. PureWick™ external catheters are noninvasive urinary care products that do not require insertion into the body. They absorb urine as it is released using wicking material and collect it in an external canister through continuous low-pressure suction. They help reduce contact between urine and the skin and keep the skin dry. The PureWick™ Flex Female External Catheter is used by fitting its flexible wick to the female external genitalia. The PureWick™ Male External Catheter helps reduce urine leakage by fitting its full-coverage patient adhesive to the area around the male external genitalia. It expands the options for noninvasive urinary management based on patients’ physical characteristics and conditions, including patients who have difficulty using male condom catheters. These products are expected to be useful in situations where urinary management must take patient comfort and dignity into account, such as for patients who have difficulty urinating independently due to postoperative pain or reduced ADL, patients at high risk of falls when walking to the toilet at night, and patients who must remain in bed or have limited mobility. The key value offered by PureWick™ includes supporting efforts to reduce CAUTI risk through early removal of indwelling urinary catheters and fewer days of use; helping reduce the risk of moisture-associated skin damage, such as IAD, by limiting contact between urine and the skin; supporting patient comfort and dignity through urinary management that does not require insertion into the urethra; helping reduce the workload of nursing and caregiving staff associated with nighttime toileting assistance and changing diapers and linens; and supporting fall-risk reduction and comfortable rest by reducing nighttime trips to the toilet. This position is not simply about selling products. It involves value-based, collaborative sales: listening to healthcare professionals, proposing new care options that protect patient dignity, and working together to solve challenges in clinical settings. By combining the female and male PureWick™ products, you can propose more comprehensive urinary care solutions tailored to patients’ sex, anatomical characteristics, skin condition, ADL, and care environment. The role goes beyond product selection to supporting the identification of appropriate patients, the design of in-hospital workflows, education, and post-implementation evaluation, working with clinical teams to rethink urinary care itself. In addition to consultative sales, you will take on a socially meaningful mission: protecting patient dignity and comfort and transforming the way healthcare professionals work in care settings ranging from acute care to home care, through implementation support, in-service training, and promotion of multidisciplinary collaboration. This position puts you at the forefront of change, working with clinical teams to establish a “new standard” for urinary care. Your actions will help improve the quality of healthcare and drive change in the field. The problem-solving skills and multidisciplinary collaboration experience developed in this position can lead to broader career opportunities, such as team management as a future sales manager or strategic planning in the marketing department. This is a position where you can grow into a professional who leads the future of healthcare through value creation grounded in the needs of clinical settings. Key responsibilities include driving the achievement of sales and business targets through sales of PureWick™ products in your assigned territory; building relationships and providing product information through regular visits to healthcare institutions and distributors in the territory; identifying customer challenges and needs and proposing products and solutions accordingly; and promoting product adoption and utilization through product explanations, application demonstrations, in-service training, and post-implementation follow-up to support the appropriate use of female and male PureWick™ products. You will also develop and execute sales plans for your territory; improve sales activities by analyzing sales results and opportunity progress; respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support; gather and analyze market trends and competitive information; collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing and Customer Service; and promote sales and provide support in cooperation with distributors. You will observe and interview clinical teams about urinary care practices and workflows to identify latent challenges and opportunities for improvement. You will understand the roles and interests of multidisciplinary professionals, including nurses, WOC nurses, infection control staff, physicians, and rehabilitation staff, and design and deliver value propositions suited to each group. You will work with clinical teams to establish a new standard for urinary care through the adoption of PureWick™, while ensuring that sales activities comply with medical device regulations, industry guidelines, and company compliance policies.
