You will support growth and transformation for medium to large enterprises in the East Japan region. As the owner of your assigned customers/territory, you will develop sales plans, make proposals to new customers, and perform upselling and cross-selling to existing customers. Your sales targets will primarily include business leaders such as executives and directors, allowing you to engage in sales activities with a strong consulting element. You will promote new customer acquisition and deepen existing customer relationships in collaboration with the marketing department, inside sales department, channel sales department, and partners for your assigned accounts/territory. You will not only solve customer issues but also propose the future vision and ideal state that customers wish to achieve as a Trusted Advisor. Since you will provide services rather than products to customers, you can focus on proposals aimed at customer success without spending effort on product shipping and delivery. Most of the proposals in this department will be directed at CEO-level individuals, allowing you to acquire proposal skills directly related to management. As you will be making proposals to decision-makers, the span from deal occurrence to contract will be short, enabling you to gain extensive closing experience as a salesperson.
The Value Advisor is a senior, customer-facing role partnering with C-level executives (CEO, CIO, CFO, CHRO) to drive enterprise-wide transformation and measurable business value. The role requires strong financial acumen, including the ability to analyze financial statements, mid-term business plans, integrated reports, and executive KPIs, in order to ground transformation discussions in quantitative value. Working closely with SAP sales and delivery teams, the Value Advisor shapes executive agendas, develops compelling business cases, and positions SAP as a trusted transformation partner. Key Responsibilities include leading executive engagements to assess strategic priorities, transformation objectives, and value opportunities, developing executive- and board-level business cases using financial and non-financial metrics, driving Value Management, partnering with sales teams to shape account strategies, and building long-term, trust-based relationships with executive sponsors. Experience & Qualifications include 15+ years of experience in enterprise roles, management consulting, or digital/business transformation, proven engagement with CEO, CIO, CFO, and CHRO, strong financial and business analysis skills, and executive presence. Skills & Mindset include the ability to translate complex financial and operational analysis into clear executive narratives, being a strong team player, and demonstrating the ability to generate organizational impact through individual initiative.
