The candidate will support the development of spacecraft communication systems for lunar and deep-space exploration missions. The engineer will be responsible for communication subsystem design, analysis, integration coordination, and mission support activities across various mission phases including concept development, system definition, integration, testing, launch, and mission operations. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams including systems engineering, avionics, power, thermal, GNC, mission operations, and payload teams to ensure reliable end-to-end communication capability between space and ground assets. In this role, you will be developing the orbiter Guidance Navigation Subsystem for the lunar lander. You will perform design analysis related to orbiter GNC and detailed design of GNC algorithms based on higher-level requirements. You will also perform algorithm implementation and testing in coordination with software engineers and GNC engineers. Additionally, you will participate in the testing, verification, and validation phase of the GNC flight software. You will support flight software integration activities and perform troubleshooting and testing, as well as mission operations and preparation activities.

Ideal candidate profile: The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in GNC subsystem development, including algorithm design, sensor modelling, and performance evaluation, as well as spacecraft systems engineering with failure mode analysis. The candidate is proficient in C/C++, Python, Git, and understands modern software development practices. The candidate has hands-on experience with closed-loop test frameworks (MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL), developing models and interfaces for IMUs, star trackers, LiDARs, cameras, and propulsion systems, along with direct involvement in system-level spacecraft testing (SCLT, DOLT, DCLT). Proven capability in vision-based navigation system development is essential. The candidate is proactive, collaborative, communicates effectively, and operates confidently in business-level English.
