Citibank, N.A. Tokyo Branch is actively seeking experienced professionals who can immediately contribute to our Securities Services Operations. This position plays a crucial role in the settlement, clearing, and investigation of securities at Citigroup's Japan office, a global financial institution. - 5 to 15 years of experience in settlement or middle office operations - Experience with equity/fixed income products is preferred - Understanding of settlement and middle office functions for equity/fixed income operations in financial institutions - Experience interacting with settlement teams, middle office, clients, and financial institutions - Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines - Control-oriented mindset - Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail - Must be a team player - Ability to execute various simultaneous activities/projects in a high-risk environment - Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills - Experience and/or ability to drive process improvements and efficiency is preferred
- Perform trade confirmations and ensure the accuracy of reservation requests - Complete settlement operations and daily rate re-evaluations accurately and on time - Coordinate trade processing issues with the appropriate departments and collaboratively find solutions - Implement regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record-keeping activities in accordance with established policies - Prepare and submit regular internal and external client/regulatory reports - Address changing business issues and take responsibility for problem analysis - Support managers and team members and operate with limited direct supervision - Provide valuable perspectives that contribute to the development of new technologies and improvements in processes and workflows - Effectively partner with other employees and Citi's business units
