We are looking for a Tableau pre-sales professional to cover the Japan region. The role is a solution expert for a world-leading platform in data visualization and analytics, working with prospects, existing customers, and internal departments as a trusted advisor. You will provide technical support to customers evaluating Tableau and work with the internal sales team to drive adoption, including presenting at large data and analytics conferences and events. Tableau encourages employees to use their strengths at work, values candid communication, and measures success by what is achieved rather than time spent. Its core values are trust, customer success, innovation, equality, and sustainability. As a Tableau Solution Engineer, you will understand customers' business challenges and data and analytics strategies, identify the best solutions, and support customers in achieving their business goals. You will help customers become more data-driven using Tableau Cloud, Tableau Next, Salesforce Data 360, Agentforce, and other solutions, and explain the value of generating autonomous action from data. You will quickly learn technologies such as generative AI and present scenarios tied to customers' business process transformation. You will advise customers on data utilization and analytics, conduct pre-sales activities with the internal direct sales team, build customer relationships to drive Tableau adoption and customer success, present at events such as Agentforce World Tour Tokyo and Tableau Conference, troubleshoot technical issues, and create demo and training workshop content. In your first year, you will complete the Salesforce and Tableau bootcamp, earn Tableau Desktop Foundations, Tableau Data Analyst, and Tableau Server Administrator certifications, and support the full sales cycle across accounts and territories. You will take ownership of a key focus area, help develop the team, attend Tableau marketing events, work with account executives on territory, account, and opportunity planning, and relay customer requirements to product management and engineering. You will contribute to ongoing customer success, participate in the Tableau community through forums, blogs, and social media, and discover and mentor future Tableau talent.
