The Study Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing clinical trials in Japan, ensuring the safety and welfare of trial participants, maintaining the quality of the trials, and leading the execution of trials according to the plan in collaboration with CROs and clinical trial sites.
You will perform statistical work related to clinical trials and regulatory submission documents for vaccine projects. Specializing in vaccine projects, you will create statistical analysis plans and ensure their quality for all regulatory submission documents, including clinical trial summary reports. As a statistician, you will also provide statistical advice on development plans and protocol creation. Additionally, you will support programming tasks as needed. Utilizing direct reporting to Global Vaccine Research, you will collaborate as a member of Development Japan (DJ) while leveraging global communication (phone, email).
Design, analyze, and interpret clinical trials/post marketing surveillance (PMS) in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, company standards and best practices.
Responsible for clinical development of the assigned project in Japan under the supervision of the Japan Development Leader (JDL), who assumes responsibility for development of all projects in Japan in the respective therapeutic/disease area (TA/DA). Exercises proactive leadership in the project and obtains approval in Japan. Works with the Global Clinical Leader (GCL) and Clinicians to formulate and execute the global and Japan development strategies of the project.

Execute the planning of cross-organizational development strategies. The Project Manager contributes to maximizing product value across all stages from the introduction of the project to Japan to post-marketing lifecycle management. Leads cross-organizational collaboration. The development strategy is planned and executed based on the characteristics of the development product, considering non-clinical, clinical, regulatory, clinical trial implementation, formulation development and manufacturing, and marketing perspectives. The items that require more attention and consideration change depending on the stage of development, but maximizing the value of the development product is impossible without collaboration among all items. The Project Manager works to share the content of these activities effectively and accurately at the appropriate timing and facilitates discussions to propose to decision-making bodies.
