Critically, they know how to translate that knowledge into actionable strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
This role provides the full spectrum of payroll processes, benefits administration, payroll-related accounts balance reconciliation, and various employment-related taxes and tax reporting as a foundational discipline while supporting broader HR operations and regulatory compliance in Japan. Starting with payroll operations, the role is designed to develop capability across Japan labor law, HR controls, audits, and governance frameworks.
Upon hiring, you will be expected to take on multiple responsibilities based on your interests and experience. Please note that accounting tasks related to financial closing are handled by a separate group within the company. These responsibilities include: developing new transaction banks related to financing and bank loans, proposing and structuring debt financing, executing equity financing (capital procurement through public offerings and third-party allotments), budget management including the formulation and preparation of the annual budget for the entire company, monthly budget management for domestic headquarters and overseas subsidiaries (US and Luxembourg), managing cash flow for overseas subsidiaries (such as intercompany loan injections), managing and operating foreign exchange risk hedging, responding to shareholder meetings, and collaborating with a finance group consisting of three members, including a manager, with backgrounds in government financial institutions, general trading companies, and foreign financial institutions. The age range of the members is from early 30s to mid-40s. Additionally, there are several local staff members in the subsidiaries in the US and Europe who regularly collaborate with the Japanese members.
