The Marketing Solutions Department is a cross-functional organization that works across brand marketing organizations with brand owners and leads their evolution into value-creation marketing organizations. It consists of five groups responsible for media planning, PR, marketer education, brand process management, and marketing operations support. The Brand PR Group within the department delivers PR performance characteristic of Shiseido, leads integrated, ongoing, and planned PR activities for each brand using the PESO mix, and co-creates brand value together with brand owners. In particular, in light of the increasingly blurred boundaries between advertising and PR, the group aims to achieve results through PR activities that combine traditional PR with contemporary PR, including digital media and influencers. To establish a new style of PR, the group is driving PR structural reform and developing PR talent. You will conduct integrated, ongoing, and planned PR activities for each brand using the PESO mix. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate through credible, newsworthy sources. You will expand brand conversations and exposure through the public, KOLs, and influencers, and ultimately convey information to consumers by making brands and products more socially relevant and generating buzz. You will increase awareness of brands and products and strengthen consumer recall across different occasions, contributing to brand business both directly and indirectly. As the person responsible for planning and executing brand PR strategies, you will develop annual and half-year PR strategies, tactics, and PR stories for your assigned brands, and manage the PR PDCA cycle from tactical execution through effectiveness evaluation. Through building relationships with stakeholders such as media, KOLs, and influencers, you will conduct integrated, planned, and effective PR activities, including increasing awareness of and trust in brand products. Together with the General Manager, you will also contribute to the group's structural reform, organizational capability development, and operations, and are expected to serve as a role model in PR. Your assigned brand will be determined after you join, and the scope of your responsibilities, including organizational operations, may be adjusted based on your experience. As information about our own brands and competitors is concentrated and accumulated here, you will have opportunities to engage with a wide range of brands, both inside and outside the company. You can gain in-depth knowledge of our technological strengths and be involved in the process from value creation to sparking customer interest. You will work with many experts, supported by the strong stakeholder relationships Shiseido has cultivated over many years. You can also contribute to enhancing the capabilities of the PR Group, which is undergoing structural reform, as well as to organizational reform and operations. You can conduct business supported by deep stakeholder relationships befitting Japan's No. 1 cosmetics manufacturer. You will have the opportunity to take on challenges in a dynamic business that has a history of more than 150 years, has led the cosmetics industry, and has helped create a culture of beauty. There is significant potential for challenge under the company's growth strategy through 2030. Whether you make the most of these opportunities is up to you.
As the importance of digital marketing and the proportion of investment in it continue to increase year after year, there is a growing need to strengthen digital activities for our aging-care brands—ELIXIR, HAKU, and PRIOR—which primarily target consumers aged 45 and older. Digital advertising is a particularly important touchpoint, and maximizing ROI through communication design based on target audience insights and optimization of advertising performance is essential. We are looking to hire a new professional to develop strategies for and manage performance-based digital advertising, further strengthening these efforts. You will be responsible for the digital marketing of ELIXIR, HAKU, and PRIOR, the aging-care brands that support Shiseido Japan, from strategy development through execution. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design of digital IMC, developing and executing paid advertising strategies, developing and executing strategies for owned media (X, Instagram, LINE, and brand websites), developing and executing CRM strategies for the brand membership program (ELIXIR Club), and directing various digital creative projects. To drive growth for your assigned brands—ELIXIR, HAKU, and PRIOR—in the Japanese market, you will lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies in the digital domain, primarily focused on the upper and middle funnel, as well as brand website strategies. You will develop communication concepts and promotional plans based on target audience insights; plan media, including performance-based digital advertising focused on the upper and middle funnel; prepare creative briefs and provide direction; coordinate with external partners such as advertising agencies and manage project progress; and evaluate results to drive the PDCA cycle. You will also develop growth strategies for brand websites, improve UI/UX, and plan content and direct its production. In collaboration with brand marketing teams, you will support the design of overall digital IMC and drive and report on PDCA cycles, including evaluating the effectiveness of individual initiatives. This role allows you to contribute to marketing strategy as a brand owner rather than as part of a functional department. You will be accountable for the brand’s P&L and have considerable autonomy in your work related to the brand. You can build a career as a marketer overseeing not only digital activities but also brand marketing and overall IMC. You will gain experience across the full scope of brand marketing, not just digital, and manage a brand with an annual budget of several billion yen. You can work in a way that suits your lifestyle, including working from home.

As AI transforms consumers’ lives and the marketing environment, digital transformation has become an urgent priority. By implementing initiatives across brands—including bringing advertising operations in-house, AIO measures, and digital content production—we aim to reduce duplicated effort caused by handling each brand separately, share knowledge across brands, and maximize results. Depending on your suitability, you will lead multiple projects. For AIO measures, you will develop cross-brand implementation plans, direct and report to brand representatives and production agencies, set implementation milestones, and manage PDCA cycles. You will promote the use of AI in marketing and work on enhancing and streamlining creative production using generative AI and advertising reports using AI. You will communicate regularly with platform providers such as Meta and Google, understand their algorithms, and roll out marketing initiatives suited to each brand. You will consolidate best practices from each brand and promote their adoption across other brands, while bringing external case studies and the latest marketing technologies into internal initiatives. You will also establish processes for operating and promoting the use of DAM tools, and build the organization and PDCA framework needed to bring digital advertising operations in-house; day-to-day operations are handled by another team member. In this role, you will drive Shiseido as a whole by leading projects across brands and company-wide. In addition to digital marketing expertise, you will develop project management skills.
